My Maldives Trip (June 2008)

I had a wonderful holiday in Fesdu Private Island in Maldives, managed by W Hotels, a member of Starwood Hotels. It is 4.5 hours of flight from Changi International Airport in Singapore and there will be another transit seaplane trip to the island itself from Male International Airport in Maldives.

It is a self-sufficient island with complementary Haagen Daz ice-cream and all sort of soft drinks found almost everywhere in every corner. I was received with a very warm welcome by the staff, not forgetting the exotic fruit drink with an unforgettable taste.

What is my hobby?

I am a pianist and being acquainted with classical, modern contemporary and pop music has greatly shape my musical development over the years. I have learnt to appreciate all types of music from different era. As long as it is a piece of music meant to express certain musical idea, it is worth listening and savouring.

Beside my primary instrument, I do explore into computer music composition years back. Now I focus mainly on playing Bach and Beethoven. You might be thinking why I am not trying the last B, who is Brahms out of the 3 famous Bs composers. I would say maybe it is not my forte but I wont deny its existence. I love the balance of different voices for Bach's polyphonic music and the sheer vigor of Beethoven.
